Verification Score

Verification Score is our proprietary 0–100 score measuring how complete and current the publicly verifiable data is for an operator. It captures whether we have a verified licence status, star rating, published prices, and other signals — not whether the operator is good.

A Verification Score of 100 means we have verified every signal we track for that operator: active licence, star rating, tier, published kennel and home-boarding rates, an active website, and recent observation of all of these. A lower score means one or more signals are missing or stale.

The score is independent of price, star rating, and customer reviews. A 5-star kennel may have a low Verification Score if it doesn’t publish prices online — that’s a data-completeness issue, not a welfare one.

On our SERP listings we surface operators with a Verification Score of 70 or higher as a credibility signal. The full calculation is documented on our Verification Score methodology page.
