Multi-Dog Discount

A multi-dog discount is a reduced per-dog nightly rate offered when boarding more than one dog from the same household. Typical discounts range from 10% to 50% off the second dog’s rate.

The rationale is that two dogs from the same household can share a kennel run or sleeping area, so the marginal cost to the operator is lower. Home boarders are more likely to offer multi-dog discounts because the same human is supervising both dogs.

Discount structures vary widely — some operators charge a flat reduced rate for the second dog regardless of size, others use a sliding scale by dog size or breed.

Always confirm the discount applies to your specific dogs and the boarding period — peak surcharges can override the discount.
