PetStay or the carer endeavours to contact the owner or emergency contact. The owner is liable for any vet expenses.
What about walking the dogs?
All dogs are walked daily on-lead. Routines including number and length of walks are discussed at the owner meeting.
Does the dog have to be vaccinated?
Yes, each dog must have up-to-date vaccinations, be wormed and treated for fleas. Proof is shown at the meeting.
Do I have to provide the food?
No, owners bring all food, treats, toys, bedding, medication and leads for the duration of stay.
How many dogs can I look after?
You care for one household only, up to three dogs maximum, but you choose what you're comfortable with regarding number and size.
How are your carers vetted?
PetStay visits your home, checks garden security, explains procedures, and if suitable, follows up references and arranges public liability insurance.
What are the requirements of becoming a carer?
