Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: 8 May 2026
The short version
Some links on this site earn us a small commission if you book through them. This never affects our rankings, Verification Scores, price comparisons, or editorial coverage. We show you direct-booking options first, and we disclose affiliate relationships near every relevant link.
What affiliate relationships we have
We participate in affiliate programmes for the following booking marketplaces:
- Rover — via Impact Radius. We may earn a commission when you complete a qualified booking.
- Pawshake — via Awin or direct agreement. We may earn a percentage of the booking value.
- Tailster — direct affiliate agreement. We may earn a commission per booking.
- BorrowMyDoggy — via Awin. We may earn a commission on new memberships.
Affiliate links are routed through /go/{partner}/{operatorId} on this site so we can record clicks for internal analysis. All affiliate links carry rel="sponsored noopener" as required by Google's link policies.
What affiliate relationships do NOT affect
Our affiliate relationships have no bearing on:
- Verification Scores — computed solely from source coverage, data freshness, licence verification, and completeness. Methodology →
- Natural operator rankings — sorted by name, price, or star rating as selected by the user, never by commercial relationship.
- Price comparisons — prices are sourced from council registers, operator websites, and operator-supplied claims. Marketplace pricing is not hidden or inflated.
- Editorial guides and articles — written independently by named authors without affiliate consideration.
- Featured placement eligibility — paid Featured placements are available to any operator with a Verification Score ≥70, regardless of whether they use a partner marketplace.
How we display affiliate links
- Direct-booking options are shown first where available.
- Marketplace options are shown as alternatives, with context about pricing differences.
- We never hide that a marketplace booking may be priced higher than the operator's direct rate.
- We do not describe a marketplace as "recommended" solely because it pays a commission.
- A disclosure ("We may earn a commission if you book via {Marketplace}. This doesn't affect your price.") appears near every affiliate CTA.
ASA / CAP compliance
We comply with the ASA/CAP Code on affiliate marketing. Affiliate links are identified as such. Paid placements ("Featured" listings) are labelled separately and are never silently blended into natural search results.
